After a fair bit of deliberation and evaluating my working week, work/life balance and the such. I’ve decided to start working a 4 day week.
Time is motoring on by my kids are getting older, the boys are all back at school now, Penny has only a year until she’ll be joining pre-school and she has missed a lot over the past couple of years during the pandemic.
With the boys we would be busy every weekend, evening, free day doing something, going on adventures but with lockdown hitting just 6 months after she was born, she’s lucked out a little and had a somewhat sheltered upbringing.
So whilst I can I’m using this time, to take a day each week and spend it with my daughter. It’ll give Em’s a day to herself, to do whatever she wants to do, go to the gym, read a book, whatever. It’ll give me time away from the office and hopefully giving Penny chance to discover the wide world around us.
In the video below, we kick things off by hopping on the first bus to show up and see where it takes us.
